Why stainless steel?

Pet id tags are only as good as the split ring that it's supplied with! Most engravers supply low quality nickel split rings. 

If it breaks it can put your pets safety at risk. Also, nickel reacts with salt water and will quickly deteriorate.

Stainless steel split rings are heat treated for strength giving

 'spring memory' and can be exposed to fresh or a salt water environment. 

Unlike nickel plated split rings, our split rings are non-allergenic as in some cases, nickel can react to your pets skin or fur.

• Stainless Steel - These are the strongest available. They offer the highest durability and are recommended for active dogs, dogs that go swimming or live near the beach.

• Solid Brass   - These are strong pet tags often dulling leaving a stylish finish.

• Coloured Aluminium - These are colour coated (anodized) and come in a range of beautiful bright colours.

Phone Numbers Vs Address

The widespread use of mobile phones means a lost pet's owner can be contacted more quickly than ever before. A mobile and a home or work phone number is an immediate way for a member of the public to contact the owner, without any security risk. These days, many pet owners are reluctant to put address details on their pet's tags as it gives a would-be burglar an opportunity to visit their home. However, if you require address details, we suggest the US GI dog tag (stainless steel or solid brass) as they are suitable for more information.
