Background

My name is Mark Connell, owner of Pet Tag Embossing. I have been supplying the military with personal identity tags commonly known as 'dog tags' for over 15 years. Often I was asked to make tags for our military customer's pets. Not surprisingly, the tags were a hit; being that they are made to stand up to the same military conditions.

In these early days, these customers often commented that the pet tags commonly available would not last, sometimes being lost due to poor quality of the split ring holding the tag or the engraving wearing to quickly, especially with an active pet. For this reason, the same equipment as used by the military, is also used to make Pet Tag Embossing's pet id tags .

As a pet tag is only as strong as the split ring it is attached to, I spent a lot of time searching for a strong split ring. None of them tried and tested were strong enough, therefore, I decided to have them made to my specifications and strength. I got what I wanted and what our customers needed. My split rings are now made in stainless steal, not nickel, oven baked for strength and memory.

From these early days, Pet Tag Embossing was the first company and still the only company to offer embossed pet tags in preference to the more commonly seen engraved tags.

My goal is your pet's security upon becoming lost. Over the years I have supplied thousands of embossed pet tags, giving customers 'piece of mind', a little bit of insurance and contactability should this unfortunate event occurs. I am continuously surprised with my customers feed back that tell me that my tags are giving identification protection year after year.
